Baraka : "I never knew I was loved this much!",

During last Ramadan, Brendan met Baraka in a bookshop that sold Bibles. Brendan struck up a conversation with him and his friends which eventually led them to start studying the book of John together. Then in January this year after much wrestling, while Brendan and Baraka were praying after their Bible study, without any prompting Baraka simply gave his life to Jesus. Immediately a joy and zeal entered into his life.

In March, God powerfully visited Baraka. He had been sick for many days with a really bad cough, so he went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a chest infection. He took some medication and tried to sleep it off. But he was not sleeping well, tossing and turning all night.

Then on a Friday morning he woke up, coughing violently. It was so bad. He called out to God, "Lord, save me!" He had his eyes closed, and his vision suddenly filled with bright light. He said it was if his eyes were open. He even thought there might be an angel in the room. He felt something touch his chest, and power just flooded over him. He was healed instantly! He couldn't believe it! He tried to make himself cough, but he could not. It was all gone. "I can breathe! I never knew I was loved this much!" he exclaimed. "It's like I just have to tell people about this." Baraka has his trust firmly planted in Jesus.

These are just a few stories of what God is doing here. Please continue to pray for all these believers and their families. We are excited to see God's hand working to bring Gulf arabs to himself!
