Praise
Praise God for the growth of Christian youth here in our country. Leaders are very encouraged at the spiritual growth in many - and especially as a result of the recent Gulf youth conference. Also in response to your prayers, we give thanks to God that recently a number of people have come forward to join the leadership of this growing ministry.
Prayer
Remember a tentmaking family that recently was told they must move out of their present home in the next 8 weeks. Housing is at a high premium in their fast-growing city. They are asking God to give them affordable housing in a neighborhood where they would have close contact with National Muslim families. An expatriate believer recently contacted "Wanda", a tentmaker, about a local Muslim woman who was seeking peace and wanted to accept Jesus as Savior. Pray that these relationships will come together, leading to a new life in Christ. Pray for Samantha, a local believer who has cut off contact with all of the workers. Ask that God would restore these relationships.
Testimony
Af is a 7 year old girl who has become known to some of us. About 4 weeks ago, she was lighting a stove in her home when the petrol she was using exploded all over her. As the extent of her injuries became clear, tragically her body was 60% covered with burns. Fortunately, her face was relatively unaffected but her front, back and legs are badly disfigured. Mary, a worker, was introduced to Af and has assisted in treating the young girl's horrific injuries. By the grace of God, not only did Mary aid some in physical healing but also the healing of Af's family's soul. In caring for Af, Mary has taken the opportunity to pray with her and also on occasion shared something of the love of God with the family. Pray for Af's physical healing and that the Holy Spirit will work in her life and in the lives of her family members.
