Turmoil

Praise

Praise God for individuals & even groups of Muslims who have decided to read & find out about the Bible for themselves.

Prayer

Pray for local Christians, that they would use the current turmoil to show their confidence in God.

If it is tough to reach men for Christ, it is even more challenging to reach the ladies. The ladies have work, family and other commitments that prevent them from going out of their houses. Besides, their family members and husbands are not often encouraging the ladies to meet new friends, afraid of bad influences on their lives. Pray that God would give creative ideas to the lady workers that facilitate meeting seeking women, and pray for the lady workers who are not seeing the fruit of their efforts and sometimes feel rejected.

n the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, at least 10 protesters were hurt amid clashes between students demanding the removal of President Saleh and supporters of his ruling General People's Congress. In the south, police shot and killed two protester in Aden. Yemen is the poorest country in the Arabian Peninsula and the rising world food prices are causing increased tension. Pray for God's hand of mercy to fall on this land.

Continue to pray for peace in our region of the world. Ask that people will be able to work through differences in a peaceful manner. More importantly than physical peace, ask that they will search their hearts and question if they have peace in their souls. Ask that they will hear the Good News and accept the peace that God gives.

As many of you have been hearing, Bahrain is one of those Arab nations where there are deaths and increased tension. Anti- government protest continues after two days of violent clashes left at least two demonstrators dead. The protesters, pressing for a host of demands including political reforms and better human rights in the kingdom, are refusing to disperse, despite a rare apology from the king. We ask that you increase your prayers for this land during these days. Here is a video made last year to help you pray for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Kingdom of Bahrain

Testimony

'Hamad' requested our Holy Book through an internet page (the book is forbidden here). The book was sent but did not arrive. 'Hamad' had also given his telephone number and a contact has been made by phone. We hope to meet him this week and hand over the book to him personally.

Praise God that 'Hamad' has a desire to know the book. Pray for 'Hamad' when he starts to read the book. Pray for mail, that it will arrive to the person God intended it for.
