LOOK AT HOW GOD CAN ENCOURAGE!
• A few of us gathered with two believers in a park. We opened the bible-app on the phone and read Acts 10 with the audio app about Cornelius being visited by Peter. Having the phone read the passage aloud caused some guys on the mat beside us to bend over to hear the story. After the story was read, we briefly retold it to clarify what happened and to whom. We asked, "What surprises you in the story?". They answered, "God does not give the gospel message by means of the angel, but He lets Peter come and do the talking; He works through people."
• One turns to the other and asks, "Who was it that God used to tell the gospel in your life?" The other shares how Mr. R. many years ago in a different city used to challenge his other faith. They lean closer, "Mr. R.? Tell me, is he the one that..." and 30 minutes later they are on the phone with Mr. R. whom one had not seen in 5 years but that one of the group happened to know by coincidence. All involved are exceedingly encouraged; praising God that Mr. R.'s bold challenge was actually used to start a search for truth.
Pray that believers will hear how God can work through their sharing, even if it takes years before they hear that their sharing brought fruit. Praise that God renewed the connection and showed Himself to Mr. R. allowing him to see how his risk has brought fruit for the kingdom. Pray for Mr. R. to continue risking and sharing his faith.
