Grow in Her Faith

Praise

After one has been here for a couple of years and hasn't seen any harvest, it is wonderful when we see the ground opening as a sign that something (weed or wheat) seems to be growing and is ready to become visible. Praise God that in a number of our friends the ground is bursting. Pray that God will keep harm away and let the seeds become fruit-producing plants and in that way give honor to Him.

Prayer

As we have heard about the death of Osama Bin Laden, pray for his family. Pray for those who he hurt through his actions, that they will have closure and peace. Pray that those who follow false teachings will hear the Truth so that they will not cause violence and even more, that they will hear about Eternal Life which God offers.

Desire for change is in the air! It is discussed more openly, but still 99% of the population seems unwilling to take the risk needed to make change in this country happen. We are commended to pray for the peace of this country, but if the government actively persecutes Christians we also pray that God will allow, through peaceful ways, a change of the leading people in this country.

Pray that freedom to spread the Word will be granted in every AP country.

There continues to be a stalemate between the government and opposition forces in Yemen. Do pray that they will be able to work through their differences and that the economy will recover. Pray that the people will see their need for inner change and hear the Truth that the Savior gives.

Please pray for the many seeds sown over years in locals to come to fruit & harvest here. That God will bring to mind the Scriptures, the spiritual conversations with believers, the answers to prayer, healings, deliverances, and all that God has done to testify to them that the Word they have heard from the Bible is TRUE. Pray He will grant them repentance to acknowledge the truth, be saved, and become witnesses for Him.

Testimony

Recently we asked you to pray for "Fatima" a local believer who was forced to marry a man she didn't know. We advised her to not rebel against her father but to just pray for her husband to be. Now the family has discovered that the man does not have a job. This makes the father unhappy with this man and most likely will lead to the marriage not taking place. So God is working in wonderful ways.

Keep praying for this girl, since another man might come to propose. Here marriages are arranged, as men and women are so separated that they don't naturally meet. Women are totally covered when in public and often accompanied by a male family member when in public. A woman cannot choose her own partner without the permission of her family. Pray that she can grow in her faith before more persecution starts.
