TODAY IS NATIONAL DAY IN THE UAE - PRAY FOR UAE
Weekly Prayer
• It's a sea of green, red, and white throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE) these days. UAE's National Day is December 2 which marks the founding of the nation in 1971 when separate emirates united into one country. The colors of the country - green, red, and white - light up the night and remind us of the Christmas season even though Christmas is not celebrated here.
• Please remember and pray for the UAE. In one recent study of major Muslim countries, the lowest number of local believers are found in the UAE, Qatar, and Oman - countries all found in the Arabian Peninsula.
• Praise God for the small number of local believers in the UAE, but the number is too small. We need to pray for more! There is no viable and stable local church here. Please pray for God to build his church among the Emirati nationals.
• The good news is that there are hundreds of expat churches throughout the country since the majority of the people are expats. The UAE has given foreigners the freedom to worship. Consequently, it has been blessed by the spiritual goodness and influence these churches have had whether the local people know it or not.
• Pray that God's light would continue to shine out of the darkness and shine into the hearts of Emiratis to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).
