PRAYER ON THE FRONTLINES

• Pray for a Believer who is working with a group of people who share his Faith. Pray that they all will grow in the Lord, that they will have unity and that they will have the courage to proclaim the Good News with those who have not heard. Pray that when persecution comes, they will remain strong.

• Photos of a southern city, show devastation and extreme loss. What a clear picture this is of the effects of sin in the world. Please pray that peace will come and that this city will be rebuilt. Even more importantly, pray that people will have the chance to hear of the Savior who forgives the sins in their lives, who brings peace in hearts even when circumstances are grim.

• The colder season has passed, and we can now enjoy witnessing for Christ on the small terraces beside coffee shops. We find a group of 8 guys who hang out here each Thursday evening, having great fun. We strike up a conversation, are invited to join and spend the rest of the evening in their company. We talk about a tourist attraction that is being closed and one mention that it's reason is that an evil spirit lives on that side. This gives us an opportunity to tell the story of how Jesus delivers a man from a legion of demons. The group is interested to talk more and we discover one of them has read some parts of the Christian scriptures and another is watching a Christian broadcast. God gives many opportunities that evening to explain our faith and to correct misconceptions on Christian concepts.

• We praise God that these guys all thought it was normal to engage with Christians and that's reading the Bible is a good thing to do (contrary to the normal fear to get involved in anything not according to their Religion). Will you pray that God will remind them of the words shared and make them hungry to read the Bible?

TESTIMONY

"Ali", a Shiite student, has talked with his Christian professor, "Dan", several times about matters of faith. Recently he told Dan that his father informed the family that their good works were not enough, and Ali asked Dan more about his similar beliefs. Dan shared about the 100% mercy found in Jesus. Pray that Ali will continue to contemplate Christ's mercy and personally believe in His salvation.
